Performance
As far as soeed is concerned there is no noticeable improvement when compared to SP2. Windows hasn’t become faster. The only good news is that in spite of the improvements, Windows XP has not become any slower.
Security
The update offer all security patches released -over 1,100 individual fixes. Even the Security Center itself has been updated. Here in the Security Center, users get extensive information on active protection mechanisms. At long last, Windows XP offers onboard support for the WPA2 Wi-Fi encryption. Until now users had to install newer adapter software from third party provider.

Yahoo Messenger Now Goes Vista
All vista user must happy because Yahoo has launched a new version of their popular instant messenger client, Yahoo Messenger, for the Windows Vista system.
Though their previous version would work with the newer Microsoft operating system, this new version has added features such as more skins, scalable contacts so you can choose how much about them you see, tabbed messengers windows and more.
You can download the new version now, but they do warn it is a beta, and they would appreciate feedback on it so they can continue to improve it. There will be many bug because this Beta version and yahoo need user to help improve their yahoo messenger.
A better Start Menu
Vista Start Menu brings useful functions such as “Run” or the Hibernate button to the front. If you remove a program from the list, that space remains empty, thus, allowing you to find the tools conveniently at the same place without re-shiffling the entries.
