Nikon Rifle Scopes, Nikon Monarch Riflescope 4-16x42SF

June 8th, 2011 No Comments   Posted in Gadget

The new Monarch Riflescope Series features Monarch Eye Box Technology, a huge ocular with a generous field of view that provides 4-times magnification zoom range and four inches of constant eye relief. Quick-focus eyepiece allows for a crisp, detailed sight picture. Magnification reference numbers are viewable from the shooter’s position thanks to Smooth Zoom Control. Standard on all Long Range Monarch riflescopes, Nikon’s easy-to reach dial allows you to quickly focus from a shooting position. Enhanced Mount Ring Spacing provides mounting to virtually any rifle action regardless of caliber, even magnum length actions. (2.5-10×50 may require extension rings in some cases). Ultra ClearCoat Optical System is the basis of the new Monarch scope. It consists of superfine Eco-Glass lens glass and Nikon’s proprietary anti-reflection multi-coating technology that boost light transmission up to its theoretical maximum – 95% One-Piece Main Body Tubes. The scope is milled from aircraft-grade aluminum for minimum weight and maximum strength and durability, and is sunshade adaptable. Monarch Riflescopes are waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof .

Offering all the power necessary for long-range varmints but with a big enough field of view for close-quarter big-game hunting, the all-purpose Nikon Monarch 4-16x42SF sets the standard for scope performance. The riflescope offers such features as a one-piece, 1-inch main body tube; a creative Eyebox design with a huge ocular that provides a 4x magnification range and 4 inches of constant eye relief without sacrificing the field of view; an ultra ClearCoat system for 95 percent light transmission; and fully multicoated, super-high-performance lenses. After the lenses are cut and polished, Nikon coats them with multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds. The compounds serve to boost light transmission, improve contrast (to pull game out of its surroundings), deliver true color rendition and flare-free viewing, and enhance the overall image quality. The scope’s Nikoplex reticle, meanwhile, is a favorite of American sportsmen, with thicker posts on the top, bottom, and sides and thinner center crosshairs for precision aiming under all light conditions.

In addition, the riflescope is prepared for years of reliable service thanks to its 100-percent waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof housing. The scope is O-ring sealed, oxygen purged, and nitrogen filled to prevent fogging, while the waterproof performance is guaranteed, even with the windage and elevation caps off. Other details include a quick focus eyepiece; a locking side-focus parallax adjustment; interchangeable turret technology with target-style windage and elevation adjustment knobs and caps; enhanced ring spacing that allows you to mount the scope on virtually any rifle; and a unique zoom control with rearward facing numbers. Sunshade adaptable, the riflescope carries Nikon’s full lifetime warranty.

Nikon SB-600 Speedlight Flash for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras

Nikon introduces the Speedlight SB-600, a compact flash packed with impressive functionality inherited from the renowned SB-800. It serves as a solid base for the Nikon Creative Lighting System when used in combination with Nikon D70 or D2H digital SLRs.

When used in combination with Nikon’s latest digital SLRs, the D70 or D2H, the SB-600 supports Advanced Wireless Lighting as a remote Speedlight that can be positioned as one of multiple remote flashes to significantly extend creative possibilities. To assist in such situations, the Speedlight SB-600 also has two Ready Lights located on both the left and right of the front that can be easily seen from a distance. The SB-600 can also emit an audible alert for further assistance.

Auto FP High-Speed Sync enables the use of Fill-Flash even in bright daylight with wide aperture settings for the achievement of outstanding results and new creative possibilities, including the effective blurring for of out-of-focus background elements. An optional color filter set SJ-1 is also available, allowing imaginative shooting to be pushed even further.

White balance is optimized through the use of flash color information obtained by the Speedlight. The SB-600 also features FV lock, which gives the user the convenience of being able to maintain the measured flash value while recomposing the shot to achieve the appropriate flash output for the subject.

It also offers uncomplicated operation made simpler by an easy-to-view LCD with only six buttons, each of which is backlit and simple to understand.

The Nikon Speedlight SB-600 also delivers plenty of style, both in its compact dimensions and a triangular motif consistent with the Nikon D-SLR theme.

The Nikon Speedlight SB-600 comes complete with a Speedlight stand and a soft case, while two flash cables (the SC-29 and SC-28) and the Color Filter Set (SJ-1) are available as options.
