LiteOn 20x DVD/CD Writer and Rewrite driver

LiteOn has always been one of the leading optical drive brands in the market and they’ve achieved another milestone by releasing their 20x DVD/CD Writer and Rewriter drive. With this, they claim to be the first to release a 20x DVD writer with a SATA internface.
The drive utilizes the now started standard smaller form factor optical drives which is supposed to provide better air ventilation in a computer casing. To take it up a notch, the LiteOn drive uses the SATA interface, which also relates to using smaller cables dominate the internals of a PC case.
The drive looks exactly like any other optical drive you see on the market. There are two extra bezels, silver and beige, that shipd with the drive together with the attached black bezel to match the colour of your casing. The drive supports practically all formats available in the market, from the usual CD-Rs up to dual layer DVD and DVD-RAMs. It’s bliss to know that you can purchase any optical discs without having to worry if your drive actually supports it.
Nero 7 Essentials is bundled with the drive and as usual, the CD comes with a whole lot of other applications other than Nero’s burning utility.
The claimed speed was accurate after benchmarking the drive on Nero CD-DVD Speed. Writing 4.7GB of data on a 16x DVD-R took slightly more than 7 minutes, which is not too bad.
